Product Description
Chem-Ring seals combine the elasticity and sealing properties of rubber with the chemical resistance of Teflon. It is made of a silicone or Viton rubber core and a relatively thin Teflon FEP or Teflon PFA outer cover, and this rubber Teflon seal has excellent sealing performance. Rubber O-Rings are prone to abrasion, chemical resistance and poor resistance to gas permeation, while pure Telfon O-Rings are harder and more resistant to compression but less elastic. Coated Tefon FEP/Tefon PFA O-Rings have good resistance to solubility and chemical stability (unless attacked by alkali metals, fluorine and some halides at high temperatures), good elasticity near the rubber O-Ring, and the coefficient of friction of Tefon FEP/Teflon PFA is very low (only 0.1~0.2) and has excellent resistance to gas permeation, these properties make Chem-Ring's O-Rings have excellent sealing performance. These properties allow Chem-Ring seals to be used in truly harsh environments.
