Product Description
KALA is a cell-penetrating peptide composed of lysine, alanine and leucine, and has an α-helical structure. When the KALA environment changes from neutral to acidic ratio, the α-helical structure is quite obvious. The KALA structure has hydrophobic leucine and alanine residues on one side, and hydrophilic lysine residues on the other side. This amphiphilic structural feature allows KALA to enter cells through adsorption-mediated endocytosis, and it can also enter cells by inducing membrane fusion. When using peptide synthesis to produce KALA, it is necessary to use a reasonable condensation system.
