Adrenomedullin (ADM) is a peptide with vasodilatory and diuretic activity isolated from pheochromocytoma tissues surgically removed. Adrenomedullin (human) exists in human plasma at a considerable concentration and participates in the regulation of blood pressure. Adrenomedullin (human) is composed of 52 amino acids. It is a relatively long peptide in solid-phase peptide synthesis and has a pair of disulfide bonds in the structure.
