According to sources, Japan is considering approving the use of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 18 or over, as reported Kyodo News+ on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare granted fast-track approval for the vaccine in May and is already planning to approve it for people aged 60 or older.
An expert panel of the health ministry will consider the eligible age range for the vaccine on June 30.
