Trichloroethylene (TCE), also known as trichloroacetylene, is a colorless, slightly sweet volatile liquid and a solvent with strong solubility, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents. Under normal conditions, it is non-combustible, because of its moderate boiling point, high steam pressure, strong stability, suitable for air washing operations, and is used in industry for metal cleaning (complete degreasing) and fiber degreasing removal.
