Leonurus heterophyllus Sweet is the aboveground part of Leonurus, which has the functions of activating blood and regulating menstruation, removing blood stasis and generating new life, diuresis and detumescence, clearing heat and detoxification
1. Effect on the uterus: Motherwort has obvious excitatory effect on the uterus, which is manifested as increased uterine tension, increased contraction range and accelerated rhythm. It can significantly enhance the contraction of the uterine muscle, and its effect is similar to that of the pituitary hormone.
2. Effects on the cardiovascular system:
(1) It has the effect of strengthening the heart, increasing coronary artery flow and myocardial nutrient blood flow;
(2) can slow down the heart rate, against experimental myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia, anti-angina pectoris, reduce the scope of myocardial infarction;
(3) Inhibit platelet aggregation, thrombosis and red blood cell aggregation;
