Lalotinib sulfate is the sulfated form of Lalotinib, which is an oral inhibitor of Troponin Receptor Kinase (Trk) and has potential anti-tumor activity. After administration, lalotinib binds to Trk, thereby preventing the interaction of neurotrophin Trk and activation of Trk, leading to induction of cell apoptosis and inhibition of cell growth in tumors overexpressing Trk. Trk is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by neurotrophins, which mutates in various types of cancer cells and plays an important role in tumor cell growth and survival.
