Application
Krypton is mainly used in gaseous form to produce fluorescent lamps and halogen lamps in electric light sources. The high molecular weight of krypton makes the lamp have a longer working life. Krypton is also used to insulate windows to reduce heat loss. Other applications of krypton include laser gas, scientific research, and fluid sterilization lamps.
