What is Kojic Acid Dipalmitate?
Kojic Acid Dipalmitate Powder is modified kojic acid derivative,which not only overcomes the instability to light, heat and metallic ion,but also keeps the inhibitory tyrosinase activity and prevents the forming of melanin.
Product performance
It is a fat-soluble derivative of kojic acid. It not only overcomes the shortcomings of kojic acid's instability to light and heat and discoloration when encountering metal ions, but also because of the absence of hydroxyl groups in its molecular structure, it will not interact with the anti-corrosion in cosmetic systems. Agents, sunscreens or other active ingredients form hydrogen bonds to affect the efficacy of these additives, and have excellent compounding properties. As a fat-soluble additive in cosmetics, in addition to being easier to formulate, it can also be absorbed by the skin more effectively, giving the skin a good moisturizing effect.

What are the benefits for the skin?
Kojic Acid Dipalmitate Powder is a new skin whitening agent,it can prevent the formation of melanin by inhibiting the activity of tyrase, effective ratio can be up to 80%,so it have a evidently whitening effect and the effect is stronger than the kojic acid.
1) Whitening: Kojic acid dipalmitate is more effective than kojic acid in inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase in the skin, thereby inhibiting the formation of melanin, and has a good effect on skin whitening and sun protection.
2) Freckle removal: Kojic Acid Dipalmitate powder can improve skin pigmentation and can fight age spots, stretch marks, freckles and general pigmentation.

Studies have found that the whitening effect of kojic acid dipalmitate and glucosamine derivatives will increase exponentially.
Cosmetic Compounding Guide
Kojic acid dipalmitate is difficult to add to the formulation, and it is easy to form crystal precipitates. In order to solve this problem, it is recommended to add isopropyl palmitate or isopropyl myristate to the oil phase containing kojic acid dipalmitate, and heat the oil phase to 80°C and keep it warm for 5 minutes until the kojic acid dipalmitate The palmitate is completely dissolved, then the oil phase is added to the water phase and emulsified for about 10 minutes. Usually the pH value of the final product obtained is around 5.0-8.0.
The recommended addition amount of kojic acid dipalmitate in cosmetics is 1-5%; the addition amount in whitening products is 3-5%
