Usage |
Folium Artemisiae argyi is a traditional Chinese medicine with long history and rich chemical diversity. There are studies on the biological activity of monomer components, especially on the role of moxa leaves in acupuncture (moxibustion). In addition to traditional moxibustion, it has been developed into a variety of compound and micro moxibustion agents, capsules, patches, beta cyclodextrin inclusions, bath agents, dropping pills and other formulations. The chemical constituents of artemisia argyi include volatile oil, flavone, eucalyptus, triterpenes and trace chemical elements.
Main Functions of Artemisia Argyi Extract
1. Antibacterial and antiviral
Artemisia Argyi Extract have inhibition on bacillus anthracis, antibacterial, antiviral mugwort alpha hemolytic streptococcus, beta hemolytic streptococcus, corynebacterium diphtheriae, pneumonic diplococcus, staphylococcus aureus, bacillus subtilis, etc in vitro. Water immersion agents of Absinthe leaves have a inhibitory effect on common pathogenic dermatophytes. Artemisia argyi leaf has obvious antibacterial effect on the smoking area, which reduces the number of colonies in the air and completely inhibits the growth of purulent bacteria. Ai fumigation can inhibit adenovirus, rhinovirus, ulcer virus, influenza virus and mumps virus.
2. Anti-tumor
MTT method was used to observe the effects of various extracts of artemisia argyi on the growth of various human cancer cell lines. The results showed that the ethyl acetate extract and n-butanol extract of qiai and qiye had different degrees of inhibition on the effects of human cancer cell lines SGC27901, SMMC27721 and Hela cells, and had obvious quantitative effect relations
3. Antiallergic
Artemisia argyi oil has anti - allergic effect and has protective effect on respiratory allergic reaction Antiasthmatic, relieving cough, make expectoration easy. 4. Hemostasis
