Selection based on
GBW concentrated sulfuric acid pump a lot of special steel used in 80 to 100 % sulfuric acid , the temperature can reach 60 ~ 80 ℃. The steel in sulfuric acid concentration and temperature range , the surface can produce a protective film sulfate . Cast iron does not apply to more than 100 % fuming sulfuric acid , sulfur trioxide may be due to the reaction with the iron contained in the silicon , so that the cast iron becomes brittle . Carbon does not apply to 100 to 102 % fuming sulfuric acid , more than 102 % of the acid is then applicable , the temperature limit of about 60 ℃. Sulfuric acid corrosion of the steel is large, when the acid concentration is about 47% , the corrosion rate of the highest value. When the acid concentration is greater than 65% , the corrosion rate of the steel is significantly reduced. However, in this period of 65 to 80% concentration , it is best not to use steel to use lead or other acid -resistant material more secure.
